If the world was ending, I’d wanna be next to you

There are moments when I find myself lost in thoughts of what truly matters. If the world was ending, if everything we knew was slipping away, I realize that the only place I’d want to be is right by your side.

The chaos around us would fade, and all that would remain is this overwhelming need to be close to you, to hold you, and to feel your presence.

In that final moment, nothing else would matter — no fears, no regrets, no unspoken words. All I would want is to share that last breath with you, to know that you’re there with me, and that in our togetherness, we’d find some semblance of peace, even as the world crumbles.

I’d want to tell you everything I’ve ever felt, every hidden thought, and every unvoiced fear. I’d want to make sure you know just how deeply you’ve touched my life, how your smile has brought light to my darkest days, and how your love has made everything else seem insignificant.

If the world was ending, I wouldn’t care about the why or the how. My only concern would be holding you close, feeling your heartbeat against mine, and knowing that we faced it all together. Because in the end, love is the one thing that transcends everything else — the one thing that makes life, and even its end, worth experiencing.

So, if the world was ending, I’d wanna be next to you. I’d want to face that unknown, not alone, but with you by my side. Because in the end, it’s not about how we go, but who we’re with when it happens. And there’s no one else I’d rather share that moment with than you.
